Full day Perito Moreno Glacier Tour (about 8 hours)

Be seduced by the fascinating landscape of Argentina's Perito Moreno glacier on this full day tour, with

transfer service direct from your hotel. Explore glacier streams, small lagoons, gullies, crevasses, and plenty

of unique ice formations during this one-of-a-kind experience in South America. Perito Moreno Glacier is an

impressive natural wonder and due to its extension and height, it has become known across the globe for its

easy access, continuous advance, and the inimitable sound of massive icebergs loosening and cracking,

deafening in the stillness of an environment devoid of the typical sounds of civilization. Los Glaciares

National Park area is home to other significant glaciers such as Upsala, Onelli, and Spegazzini. Once inside

Los Glaciares National Park, you'll follow the route around Lake Argentino where, a mere 50 miles (80km) from El Calafate, Perito Moreno Glacier lies imposing with its 200-foot (60 meter) high walls of ice. Follow the paths that bring you facing the glacier for a different set of impressive views, all while the sound of continuous fractures and detachments of ice echo throughout the surroundings!

This tour takes you across Lake Rico with the boat stopping a safe distance from the Perito Moreno glacier, which allows for a spectacular view ofthe looming wall of ice. You will enjoy a 1-hour boatride, during which time you will learn about the different flora, fauna, and general glaciology of the region, as well as a particular phenomenon that happens with the Perito Moreno Glacier.
